Hospital: Henrico Doctors Hospital-Forest VA Years Experience: 2 years Position Type: Travel Specialty: RN - Endoscopy Start Time: 6:00 AM End Time: 4:00 PM Regular Pay: $73.00 Submittal Limit: - Remaining Submittals: - General Comments: =============== Unit Information: ENDOSCOPY Location: Reston, VA Address: 1850 Town Center Parkway Floor: General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds – 2 procedure rooms, 1 lithotripsy room, 1 eye laser room Number of Staff – 6 Type of staff: 4 RNs/2 Endo techs Day Shift – RN will work 7a-3:30p (5 days 1 week, 4 days 2nd week) call requirement Night Shift – on call only. Patient Ratios – 1 circ 1 scrub in every case. 1 RN in litho cases. 1 RN for eye lasers. Type of equipment – Olympus scopes, Medivator washer system. Lumenis eye laser. Meditech EHR. EMR – Meditech for circulator. Provation for some scheduling. Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. 18 months Endoscopy experience. ERCP, EUS, EBUS, Bronchoscopy, EGD and colonoscopy, food bolus Biopsy and specimen collection. Scope washing and reprocessing experience Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Experience in high volume, high acuity Endoscopy units. Ability to scrub and circulate List typical procedures performed on unit(s): EUS, ERCP, EBUS, Bronch, EGD, Colonoscopy, food bolus, GI bleed, fecal transpant Best personality Fit: Flexible and easy-going personality. Works well under pressure. Team player. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BLS, ACLS, PALS Floating Area(s): Phase 2 recovery as needed Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire – OR scrubs Weekends and On call (if any): Every 4TH weekend on call (48 hrs/weekend) 4 weeknight shifts every 4 weeks (1530-0700)
