    Hospital: Lewisgale Medical Center VA Years Experience: 2 years Position Type: Travel Specialty: RN - Emergency Dept Start Time: 7:00 PM End Time: 7:00 AM Regular Pay: $75.00 Submittal Limit: - Remaining Submittals: - General Comments: =============== Data Collection: Unit Information: LewisGale Medical Center Location: Salem, VA Address: 1900 Electric Road Floor: Emergency Department Building: General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 27 Number of Staff – 50 RN/25 Medics Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics; increase by 4-5 RN at 11am; increase by 1-2 RN at 3pm Night Shift - 1 charge, 5 RN, 2-3 medics Patient Ratios – 4-6:1 Type of equipment - EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments Must have 2-3 years ER experience Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. High acuity ERs, fast paced ERs with high volume Experience with patient ratios of 5:1 List typical procedures performed on unit(s): RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of the psych patient, transfers to other facilities (EMTALA), Best personality Fit: Relaxed, easy going, friendly, team oriented, respectful. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BLS, ACLS, PALS; Preferred: TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIH Floating Area(s): None Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - navy blue or white Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. Weekends and On call(if any) No on call. Weekends are four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four week scheduling period
