Individuals admitted to the Digestive Disease Inpatient Units consist of individuals 17 years of age or greater. With service line administrator approval adolescent patients may also be admitted to the Bariatric Surgery and Autologous Islet Cell Transplant Programs. The primary medical services are the Luminal Service which is the General Medical Hospitalist Private and Teaching Services, the Hepatology Service, and GI Surgery Service which is divided into Pancreobiliary, Bariatric, and Surgical Oncology.
