MedStar Georgetown is looking for NICU/PICU RNs! Requirements - 2 years of acute care NICU and PICU experience - BLS, PALS, NRP certifications - APHON Preferred - Active RN License -Required to float between NICU and PICU-Will float between: An intensive care nursery for premature and full term babies who need ventilator support, surgery, or a variety of special medical tests or procedures. An intermediate care nursery for babies who have graduated form intensive care but need close observation and medical attention, such as heart monitors, IV fluids and medications, NAS babies, babies that need to grow, or to learn to eat on their own. -Expernce with ELBW, Surgical infants- hernias, PDA ligations, Atresia's, TEFs, gastroschisis, central lines, Pulmonary Hypertension, Total Body Cooling, Sepsis, ECMO-inhouse specialists only, Respiratory Distress, HIE, Birth asphyxia -Experience with Liver, small bowel, multivisceral transplantation, Gastroschisis, Biliary atresia, DKA, Craniofacial abnormalities, Spinal fusion, Hematology/oncologic diagnoses, Status epilepticus, Status asthmaticus, Intractable seizures, Tracheomalacia , Septic shock , ARDS, Renal failure- Two positive supervisory references, including one from the most recent assignment, must be current and support at least two years of experience in the previous 3 years. Orientation Details - Orientation held on Monday for a 12-hour shift. First 4 hours consist of modules in classroom setting and remaining 8 hours will be a shadow shift - Night RNs need to complete daytime unit orientation shifts Shift Details -Times: 7a-7:30p 7p-7:30a Additional Details - Charting system –MedConnect - Scrub Color – Any Color (no white pants) - 1 year separation period for previous perm staff members - Facility reviews profile and holds interview -Will have a NICU pipe and a PICU pipe
