12 James Surg Onc is a mixed acuity unit that cares for both PCU and Med Surg patients. This is a very busy surgical floor. All perm staff is PCU trained.Staffing Ratios - Goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5Weekends - variable based on unit needsNo set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staffSelf-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final scheduleFirst week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptorIf you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department s needs.
