    If Clinical Recommends, MGR will call for interview
    *These staff may be deployed to ED to care for boarded ICU patients or will work in the ICU
    if put on standby. response time is 30 minutes
    if put on standby, and not called in, that counts as a cancellation towards the cancellation policy
    PLEASE NOTE: ICU FLOATS TO MS TELE AND TELE FLOORS
    NO BLOCK SCHEDULING OR SCHEDULING REQUEST - MGR WILL NOT ACCOMODATE SCHEDULE FOR A 2ND JOB, TRAVEL ASSIGNMENT MUST BE PRIORITY

    - Unit: ICU
    - # beds: 20
    - Certs: BLS, ACLS, prefer CCRN, basic critical care course preferred, NIHSS
    - Ratios: 1 to 2
    - EMR: Cerner
    - Charge Nurse: Each shift--do not take patients; they serve as a resource to entire house
    - Nurse Aides: No
    - Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per 4 weeks
    - Holidays: Every other major
    - Scrub Color: Navy
    - Tele: Client-nurses must read and interpret own strips
    - Vents: RT in house ang manages
    - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Internal medicine 24/7; pulmonologist act as intensivists but are not 24/7
    - IV Team: Must have strong IV skills
    - RT 24/7: Yes
    - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
    - Shifts: 7a, 7p
    - Floating: Yes, to tele, med surg and will take 4 or 5 patients; travelers are first to float
    - Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts in ICU and 1 unit out on the floor
    - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Sepsis, proficient in managing DKA hyperglycemia, PN, COPD, PCI cardiac services (not STEMI center yet), CVA, no neuro, ICU patients will recover from surgery in the ICU, versed, Propofol, norepinephrine, GI bleeds
    - Additional Notes: Must be comfortable w/ ABCDE bundle, vents
    - Additional Questions: You will be floating out to the floors, are you comfortable with this? You will take a full patient load
