Ability to manage titrated heparin drips Preferred or nice to have:candidates with these skills will be considered first. Ability to manage titrated cardiac drips appropriate for a telemetry unit (e.g., amiodorone) List typical procedures performed on unit(s): ED holds require basic nursing care such as medication administration, nursing assessment, peripheral IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion/removal, central venous catheter removal only, central line dressing changes; may float to units that care for post-cath lab patients, ortho/trauma surgery patients (ORIF, hip replacement), thoracentesis, paracentesis, surgical drain management/removal, ostomy care, chest tube management Best personality Fit: This position may frequently float between multiple units to care for medsurg/tele patients; may require floating to our sister hospital across town (10 minutes away). Therefore, candidates should be highly adaptable and ok with floating frequently and should be able to mesh well with new groups of people.
